A Bitta Transfer Talk!

Dortmund playmaker being chased by a number of clubs, including us.

Alright lads,
There's been a lot of talk about transfers in the papers over the past while, understandably so, with the season coming to an end in just over a month's time, the rumour mill is well and truly up and running and this time of year is usually the same time us lot get our hopes up in the hope that Mr Wenger will spend some serious squids on a worldy, but instead we get that slightly disappointed feeling, left wondering "what might have been" and I KNOW we say it every year, but i genuinely think this might be the year he decides to do something serious about our squad

RECENT RUMOURS

Here's a selection of the recent players names that have been floating around the Arsenal rumour mill:

1.Mario Gotze (pictured above)
The little German is being touted by almost every other big club in Europe and I think he will move, but I'm not entirely confident it will be to us, at all. Paper's are quoting an asking price of £30mill, and, if Wenger is serious, that's a cost that we could easily afford to pay, but considering the player he is, and other clubs such as City being linked, if a bid was to materialise I could see us being Gazumped by the oil-rich club to be honest.
Jay's Possibility Rating: 3/10

2.Stevan Jovetic
Now this is one I could see us pulling off. The Fiorentina forward with 12 goals in 26 games seems the real deal. His goal-to-game ratio isn't anything to rant and rave over but there's no doubting he looks a seriously good footballer. A fee in the region of £18mill is being touted around, which seems fairly reasonable considering today's prices. Fiorentina are no longer the force in Italian football they once were, and Jovetic has done as much as he can there in my opinion so I genuinely can see this one happening.
Jay's possibility Rating: 7/10

3.Pierre Emerick Aubameyang
Aubameyang is a striker who plays for Saint Etienne in the French Ligue1 and looks a decent player altogether. There hasn't been too many mentions of him joining the Gunners because in reality he's been linked with almost every team that's remotely better than Saint Etienne in Europe. He's a strong, surprisingly quick striker with a good finish, what more can I say?
Jay's possibility Rating: 4/10

4.Benedikt Howedes
This lad can defend. The Schalke centre half stands just over 6ft and is a solid, solid defender. He's a German international with Champions league experience, has obviously played in a top league for quite a while now, and to be honest I'd rate him above TV5 and Per, but not Kosc, Kosc beasts everyone... Anyways, like i said, solid, strong and has a good head on his shoulders, I doubt it but it'd be a good'n.
Jay's possibility rating: 4/10

5.Christian Benteke
Now this is one I'd personally like to see. Since coming to England Benteke has surprised almost everyone, banging in the goals for a fairly average Aston Villa side whom without Benteke, would probably be relegated already. The powerful Belgian has bagged more than his handful of goals for the Villains and in my opinion would be a solid addition to any Prem side. He's still young so there's plenty of room for improvement and I think even if Villa do stay up, the chance to triple his 20k a week wage at a top team, with the chance of Champions league football, would surely be enough to prise him away, and I think we might actually go for him, I just have that fan feeling...
Jay's Possibility Rating: 6/10

So, they're the top 5 most frequent names mentioned in the past week or so, ill try do one of these every time i find a batch of new players floating around the rumour mill.

Thanks for the read guys,
Jay.

Jack is back, and Theo too, but Tommy's tired!

Wenger: "They are 90% available for Sunday"

Alright lads,Some good news today, both Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott have been declared fit to face Norwhich this weekend, but with Arsenal theres always some bad to any good that comes our way and that bad is in the form of Tomas Rosicky, who has a little hamstring niggle, here's what the boss had to say:

"The other uncertainty we have from last Saturday is Tomas Rosicky. His involvement is yet to be decided aswel but it is fair to say he is a big doubt for Saturday"

It's a real pity Tommy R's picked up an injury considering his form last week, good, solid performance with the drive the previously injured Wilshere usually provides, but with jack back, hopefully Santi will drop back in behind Giroud and we'll go back to Walcott out wide, with, in my opinion, Gervinho.

We cannot drop Gerv with the form he's in so I think his run in the side deserves to continue.

Of course itd be nice to see the Ox get a start, but at this stage I just think we need solidarity and fluidity in the team selection, so the less changes the better. I think Jack for Rosicky, Walcott (maaaaaybbeee) for Ramsey and obviously TV5 for the injured Per Mertesacker.
